When people walk out of our lives we cling onto vague memories: we re-imagine them, reinvent them and at other times, idealise them.
Sam is about the time we employ in intricately getting to know an individual once the relationship ceases to exist. What remains for the person left behind? It seems that all that survive are the faintest of images, emphasizing the strangeness conceding to the passage of time.
The body of work explores how various relationships can impact a life and as a matter of course, evaporate, leaving only a void. Sam, a fictitious figure represents all such relationships I have found and consequently lost. In such an absence, how can one reclaim the person they once knew?
